Lumberjaxes is currently looking to hire outgoing, energetic, and most importantly responsible axe throwing coaches! The coach responsibilities will be, but not limited to, facilitating a friendly and safe environment, teaching proper safety techniques, and ultimately making this one kick ass experience for the customer.
Don’t worry if you have never thrown an axe because there is NO experience needed! Likely applicants will have backgrounds in coaching, teaching, hospitality, or any mix that you may feel qualify! We will provide all the techniques needed to wield an axe and the proper knowledge to facilitate a truly Lumberjaxes experience.

Place your dominant hand around the bottom of the handle of the axe. Place your other hand over the dominant hand. Cross your thumbs.
Hold axe outward in front of you with the blade as straight as possible in relation to the target. Right handed throwers should put their left foot forward. Vice-versa for lefties.
Rock your body forward with the axe extended toward the target. Rock your body backward and bring the axe straight back over your head. You look like a badass right now.
Bring the axe forward at a fast pace and release it toward the target with arms extended. Be sure to follow through and allow your hands to reach your sides.
